Heartstrings Photography began as a passion. I have always been a "picture person" - I love taking them, looking at them, scrap booking them, etc.  My first digital camera became a dangerous weapon... I was only limited by the size of my memory card! I began to sense a personal style emerging from my shots; I am drawn to images of children, and I love getting really close. Getting down to their level and entering a child's world helps give my portraits the emotion I'm looking for. A goal of mine is to capture moments rather than just "take pictures". As a mom of three, I began to dread our visits to the mall to get pictures taken. We ALWAYS had to wait, and the kids would be miserable by the time the photographer was ready for us. If not, then my toddler wanted to play with all the props in the room and would cry if we tried to involve her. Great way to start a photo shoot! I loved changing their clothes, but inevitably we had forgotten tights to go with the dress shoes, dress shoes period, or the headband that matched. I began to wonder about providing the at home experience to moms, and the beginnings of Heartstrings Photography was born!
